Many different methods and technologies are available for the isolation and purification of DNA and RNA. Our kits use well known technology that should be familiar to researchers using Qiagen and other purification kits. In general, all methods involve disruption and lysis of the starting material followed by the removal of proteins and other contaminants and finally recovery of the DNA. Because of the variable nature of the starting material, we carry kits optimized for samples from a variety of sources including blood, other body fluids, plants, insects, rodents, etc. Kits are available in a variety of sizes and formats, including plate-based kits.
