Job Description
The goal of our Outside Sales Representative position is to manage and grow the business of PHENIX Research Products through active territory development and customer management. PHENIX Research started in the bay area and is now a national supplier of laboratory consumables, reagents and equipment.  This position requires a high degree of entrepreneurial spirit to identify, plan, contact and manage customer base and the ability to work autonomously and be an excellent self-starter.  The area of responsibility is Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.  Moderate travel will be required, mostly to Seattle/Portland.  This is an outside position based out of the representative’s home.  Good benefits and income potential in a stimulating environment.  Stable and growing NC based company.  Competitive salary plus % GP commission plan, car allowance, matching 401K and strong benefit package.

Human Resource Manager

Job Description
PHENIX Research Products was founded in 1990 and is a national supplier of laboratory consumables, reagents and equipment based near Asheville. We have approximately 40 full time employees and outside sales representatives located throughout the US.  The goal of our Human Resources Manager is to maximize the strategic use of human capital.  HR related duties include: payroll, benefits, recruitment, training and development, human resources policies and labor law compliance. Stable and growing NC-based Company.  Competitive salary with matching 401K and strong benefit package.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human resources-related field or equivalent experience with PHR or SPHR Certification
  • At least three years of management-level experience in human resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines (employee relations, performance, recruitment, compensation, training, benefits, etc.)
  • Proven ability to interact with senior level management, and drive results across all company functions
  • Must be able to handle sensitive/confidential information and situations with diplomacy, patience and tact
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources and general business practices
  • Has a proactive problem-solving attitude to be able to identify, address, and resolve issues that may arise with a “do whatever it takes" attitude
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills; strong attention to detail
  • Customer service focused with effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including Windows, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint required
